I first discovered this awesome dish at K&W Restaurant which is a southeastern U.S. chain buffet style restaurant and have loved it ever since. I did some research and found a basic recipe and built upon it to make it into this dish. I like to make a lot of this at one time and freeze it for later. I also usually end up giving a lot away because friends know how good it is and I enjoy watching them enjoy this dish.

I had lots of fun coming up with this chili recipe. This was the first time I had made Chili Beans. I made a few changes to the recipe in order to give you a full 5 quart crock-pot full of chili beans with lots of meat.

Watch my video blog posted to the bottom of this recipe for my talk about this experience.
Lots of Love, Tammie

Ingredients:

3-3.5 lbs of Ground Beef (Cook in frying pan and drain well)

(3) 15 oz cans of whole tomatoes (quartered) Use the juice from 1 can and half of the juice from a second can.

Note: I like using 3-4 cups of fresh tomatoes but use can tomatoes if you don't have fresh ones. You can also use diced tomatoes but don't use all of the juice from three cans. This will make your chili too soupy.

(1) 15 oz can of Beef Broth

(1) 14.5 oz can of Rotel Diced Tomatoes (juice and all)

1/2 Cup of Banana Peppers (Up to one whole cup without juice)

1 Tablespoon of Banana Pepper juice

1-3 Tablespoons of Minced Onions (to your taste)

2 Tablespoons of Ground Cumin

3 Tablespoons of Chili Powder

1/2 Tablespoon of Paprika (up to 1 whole tablespoon to your taste)

(3) 15 oz (or 14.5 oz) Cans of Kidney Beans (only use the juice from the first two cans - drain the third can)

(1) 15 oz (or 14.5 oz) Can of Black Beans (juice and all)

8 Cloves (finely chopped and brown in frying pan with small amount of butter)

(1) 4 oz Jar of sliced pimientos (juice and all)

(1) package of McCormick Chili Seasoning mix

1/4 Teaspoon of White Pepper (can use up to 1/2 or 1 whole according to your taste)

(1) Red Onion (med to large) diced and lightly fried in pan with small amount of butter (For a sweeter onion, use

a Vidalia onion when in season.)

Instructions:

Place ingredients in 5 quart Crock-pot (you can use one that is larger but this recipe only makes 5 quarts) on high for 1 hour and a half (90 minutes). Stir every 15 minutes. Then place on low for 2-3 hours until chili is well cooked.

Serve at medium temperature (not hot) with diced green onion, optional sour cream, and grated cheese as toppers.

Watch video for more tips.

Optional Items to make hotter chili:

Use Jalapenos instead of Banana Peppers or in addition to in order to make your chili hot.

Use a yellow onion for hotter chili

Use the 'hot' Rotel Diced Tomatoes for hotter chili

Note: if you like your chili strong, you can add more chili powder and ground cumin but I would try the recipe "as is" the first time and experiment with it after that.

I recently made cornbread and cornbread muffins which I had not made in quite a while. Last time I made cornbread, it turned out a bit dry so I was determined to make cornbread that was moist on the inside but with an outer crispy shell and what-a-ya know, jackpot. I was so excited that I made a post to Facebook about it. Several Facebook friends asked for the recipe so here it is. I may make a video one day to explain everything in detail but, in the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to email me at: tammiedavisband@gmail.com.

Ingredients:

2 Cups of Cornmeal (I used white/water ground but you can use your favorite cornmeal)

1/2 Cup of Self Rising Flour

2 Cups of Buttermilk (room temperature)

1/2 Stick of Salted Butter (Melted)

1/3 Cup of Whole Milk

1/4 Teaspoon of Baking Powder

1/2 Tablespoon of Baking Soda

3 Eggs (Large - Beaten) Room Temperature

1 Tablespoon of Sugar or Honey (If you like sweet cornbread, you can use both or more of each)

1 Tablespoon of Crisco (I use a large regular spoon, not a measuring spoon for this.)

Non-Stick pans are recommended - you can also use cast iron pan and muffin pan.

2 Tablespoons of melted butter - to use for brushing when you take out of the oven.

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375 Degrees

1. In large bowl, place your cornmeal, self rising flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar.

2. Mix well with fork.

3. If your Buttermilk is cold, use a small pot to warm to room temperature. (I turned the burner on low, placed the buttermilk in the pot (1 cup at a time) and swirled the pot around on the burner for about a minute and kept testing it until it reached room temp. Be careful not to make it warm or hot, only room temperature.)

4. Beat eggs in separate bowl, then when beaten well, add to flour mixture and mix well.

5. Add buttermilk to flour and stir in well with wooden spoon or other mixing spoon.

6. Add regular whole milk, mix well.

7. Add honey and melted butter, mix well.

8. Spray muffin pan with non-stick spray. (I use coconut oil spray but you can use regular cooking spray.)

9. Put heaping tablespoon of Crisco in baking pan (the pan you are using to bake the cornbread in) and place in preheated oven until melted. Do not leave in too long, it will start to smoke.

10. Add melted Crisco to your cornbread mixture and fold well into mix. Do not let your batter set for a long period of time once adding the melted Crisco. You should place into the oven immediately after adding the Crisco. It should be the last thing you do before placing into the oven.

This mixture will make (1) pan of cornbread (about 7" pan) and (6) Corn Muffins (Large). I used a 1/3 cup measuring cup to spoon mixture into the muffin pan.

I was looking for something new to make for the Holidays so I researched 'Red Salad' online, found a recipe and changed it up to suit my taste. I needed something that my mother would eat because she really watches her diet. This dish turned out so much better than I anticipated.

Hope you enjoy!

(1) head of Purple Cabbage (Get the size that suits how much you want to make. I went with a small head and still ended up with a boat load of salad.)

(1) Red/Purple Onion - small (I ended up only using 3/4 of the onion)

(1) Package of Dried Cranberries - (Go with the size package that suits the amount of salad you are making. I used a med. size package.

(6) Apples - Pink Lady or Jonathan apples work great. Go with a crisp apple instead of a soft apple.

(1) 9-12 oz bottle of Pumpkin Vinaigrette Salad Dressing (If you can't find a pumpkin vinaigrette go with a balsamic vinaigrette.)

(1 & 1/2 - 2) cups of chopped walnuts (I like a lot of walnuts so use the amount to your taste.)

(2) tablespoons of Virgin Olive Oil

(1) tablespoon of natural raw Honey

(2) tablespoons of Red Wine Vinegar

1. Use a salad maker to cut up your cabbage or you can do it by hand. I took out the large white pieces. Place in very large bowl. I used a very large Tupperware bowl with lid.

2. Chop onion into small pieces and place in small bowl (not with cabbage). Cover with cold water and throw in a few pieces of ice and leave for 15-20 min. This removes the bite of the onion.

3. Chop your apples into cubes. I used an apple slicer and left the peeling on the apple for color AND it's good for you. Place apples in the large bowl with cabbage.

4. Add walnuts and cranberries to cabbage mixture.

5. Drain and dry the onion that has been soaking in ice water. Add to cabbage mixture.

6. Toss ingredients well

7. Add olive oil, honey and red wine vinegar, toss well

Hey There Y'all,

I hope you had a great time during the holidays and if you're like me you're sitting there thinking about what all you want to do this year. I get really nervous this time of year trying to make the right moves to get the year started off with a bang and there's always more on the list than time to accomplish so I find myself looking for ways to cut corners without cutting the important stuff. The newsletter is not one of those things that is getting pushed down the list because staying in touch with you is priority.

I'm so excited about this year, I can't begin to tell you everything that's happening but one awesome thing is that we are full blast and moving towards cutting the new album. I am cutting this album or bust, so there's a lot of work to do. One of the things that's on my New Year's resolution list is to organize my schedule to make more time for songwriting. I don't think I've even tapped into my potential in the writing department so I'm full blast with writing and making time each day to accomplish my goal of writing 5 songs a month. It doesn't sound like a lot but hopefully as the year goes on I can allow more time.

Speaking of "time moving on", we just cut a piano/vocal demo of a song written by my good friend and associate, Kristy Jackson called 'Not A Day Goes By'. Kristy is a hit songwriter and I'm honored to know her and have the opportunity to work with her. If you remember the hit song by Reba called 'Take It Back' then you know Kristy. She wrote that song for Reba and in October 1992, 'Take It Back' was released to radio and reached #5 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles' Charts. Kristy is the owner of Fever Pitch Music, a publishing company and is a member of BMI's Millionaire's Club. You can find out more about Kristy on her website.

We recently went to the studio and cut a demo of the song to see how I liked it and how it would fit my voice. We would love to get your feedback on the song before we take it to full production. You can listen to the song on the club page of my website. You can post your feedback in the guestbook or simply reply to this email. By: Tammie Davis

I hope everyone is having a great summer. It's hard to believe that it's already July. Things here at the TD Camp are busy and challenging but I'm making memories that will last for the rest of my life. What's New? Well, it's been a while since I've had a chance to write to you, my awesome fans and friends, and I have missed doing that so much. Since then, I had the unique opportunity to open for someone in the country music industry that I've looked up to my entire life. A few months ago I received an email from the Greensboro Coliseum asking me to open for the Queen of Country Music, Ms. Loretta Lynn. What an honor that was to not only open for her but to get to meet and speak with her for a few minutes was one of the highlights of my career. I don't know that I will ever top that experience. People are still calling me asking about how it felt to be next to her. What an absolutely wonderful experience, one that I will never forget.

In February of 2010, I left a job that I enjoyed to do this, what I believe I was born to do and that is make music and sing. Yesterday at a local benefit, someone asked me "What is your goal?" That's funny that she asked me that because that is sometimes a hard question to answer and one I've been thinking about a lot lately. My motto has always been, "All The Way" which I wrote a song about a year or so ago and that means different things to different people. You see, to me 'All the Way' means complete happiness with who I am and where I am and I don't know that even your most successful musicians, singers, performers, etc, out there are all completely happy with "who" they are and "where" they are so being a super star, artist of the year, and rich beyond imagination won't make you happy with who or where your are. True happiness comes from within yourself. That's something I've come to understand.

Here are some questions I've been asked lately and here are my answers:

What is your goal? "If I've made just one person happy while listening to my music or made someone smile or feel good about life through my music then I've reached my goal."

What would you like to do moving forward? "Another CD is on the list as well as a touring Theater Show, which we haven't announced yet but you will hear more about that soon."

What is your top priority? "Making sure my daughter has opportunities provided for her that weren't available to me."

What is one thing that you would like to do that would be considered 'outside the box'? "Write a book about my story and talk about all the things I've learned about the music industry."
Tammie Davistag:tammiedavismusic.com,2005:Post/3129092013-02-15T08:00:00-05:002017-01-12T21:05:44-05:00Awesome Valentine's Day - Link to VideoHope everyone had a great Valentine's Day this year. It really caught me by surprise because I thought I was going to a meeting. Sometimes in this business you get so use to “going with the flow” that you don't really hear someone say everything you just try and get most of what they are saying enough to communicate....I know that's not completely clear but it makes sense to other musicians and singers so I'll leave it at that....the book comes later..lol.

So I had dinner with a reporter, Mr. John Chappell of The Pilot newspaper in Southern Pines, NC, who was trying to learn more about me but I was learning a lot about him too. It's so fascinating to talk to people sometimes who have “been there and done that” and I'm not being smart, he really has. I could just sit and listen most of the day and he's one of those guys that you really have to listen to because he's so dang smart and I'm sitting there trying to catch everything he's saying while having dinner in this very small but wonderful little place in Robbins, NC. If you get a chance to go through there you have to stop for the ‘carrot cake” it’s wonderful.

So we finished dinner and he proceeded to take me a few doors down to a theater which was the town theater where they used to show movies in the 40s, 50s and 60s. Lots of history there and he knew most all of it so it was an awesome evening learning history about Robbins and the theater there. Afterwards, we left town and he said, “Just follow me” and of course I’m going with the flow and said ‘ok”. We headed out of town and it took about ten minutes before we pulled up in a gravel parking lot which on the outside looked like a pottery barn of some sort. CARS EVERYWHERE, I had to create a parking spot.

We headed inside and I immediately started taking pictures because I knew I had walked in on something special. It was an “off” night they said because of the rain. There were over a hundred and fifty people there and the building seemed to go on and on. We started going through the place when we ran into Clyde, the owner and I was immediately introduced. We continued to walk around and listen to small groups pick’ in and a grin’ in. There were pickers everywhere in little groups so I asked “What are they doing?” and I was told that they were practicing to go up on stage. I said, “Stage, what stage?” and I was led into another part of the building where there were tons of seats, a large stage and people dancing to the music off to the side. This place had everything, most of which had a lot of dust on it which made it more interesting to me. I took as many pictures as I could trying to get everything captured.

I walked into her practice room and she looked up and said, “Tammie Davis”. I was shocked that someone there actually knew me. She and her awesome pick’ in and singing group (staring Carolina Rose) asked me to join them on stage for a few songs during there performance. What an awesome evening. If I would have known I was singing that night I would have dressed up, fixed my hair and put some dang make-up on but it was loads of fun and I hope to see my new pick’ in friends again soon. Now, I know that these results won’t be the same for everyone but I also did some research on the product as well and thought you might like to know what I found out.

The first thing I noticed about the product was the ‘warning label’. If the product is safe, you usually do not see an extensive warning label like the following:

Warning: This product is only intended to be consumed by healthy adults 18 years of age or older. Pregnant or nursing women should not use this product. Consult with your health care provider before using this product, especially if you are taking any prescription, over the counter medication, dietary supplement product or if you have any pre-existing medical condition including but not limited to: high or low blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, stroke, heart, liver, kidney or thyroid disease, seizure disorder, psychiatric disease, diabetes, difficulty urinating due to prostate enlargement or if you are taking a MAO-B inhibitor or any other medication, including but not limited to MAOIs, SSRIs or any other compounds with serotonergic activity This product contains caffeine and should not be taken by individuals wishing to eliminate this ingredient from their diet. Discontinue use 2 weeks prior to surgery. Do not use in combination with caffeine or any stimulants from other sources whatsoever, including but not limited to, coffee, tea, soda and other dietary supplements or medications. Do not combine with alcohol. Discontinue use and immediately consult your health care professional if you experience any adverse reaction to this product. Do not exceed recommended serving. Do not use if safety seal is broken or missing. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

Now I also have to note that some products may be mostly safe and still have to have a label like the above on them just for ‘regulation” purposes and I also have to note that I took the product and didn’t experience anything unusual like headaches or anything that would cause me to stop taking the product. However, my husband took the product and because he does have some health issues had to stop taking the product because he didn’t like the way it made him feel. So that proves that you shouldn’t take the product if you are not completely healthy. That leads me to the next point. This product is not all natural and by-the-way does not claim to be on any part of the label or website. I’m just pointing that out for your information. On the front of the label it reads “Use with extreme caution”. This product contains, just for one example, ingredients like “titanium dioxide color” which is believed by some researchers to cause lung cancer in rats when inhaled but anything that is dangerous by inhaling is also something that I don’t want to ingest into my body either. There are other ingredients that I won’t get into but there are others that are questioned by researchers.

I really feel that this product is probably not safe to take more than a few weeks. Also, I gained all of my weight back as soon as I stopped taking it. I would have had to go on a very strict diet in order to maintain plus added a daily exercise program to my schedule. I really can’t participate in heavy exercise because of an injury I sustained in the military so that is out of the question for me unless I want to take more pain meds and they have side effects too. I’ve spoken to tons of folks that are in the same boat, they can’t exercise due to a previous injury and need to loose weight so the search continues.

I’m looking for an all natural and healthy diet pill and think I’ve found one just this week. I’m starting it tomorrow and will report back to you on the results. For now, I’ve stopped taking the OxyElite Pro and can’t recommend it to you with good mind and heart. I know that if you really want to loose weight you may turn to these types of diet pills but they are not safe for the long term based on my research. If you are completely healthy and want to take it for a few weeks you still might want to check with your doctor and read the warnings taking all precautions before you dive into taking questionable products.

Capital Management
Just some helpful information for those of you getting scamming phone calls from a company by the name of Capital Management (877) 335-6861. I personally was getting phone calls and they wouldn’t give me any information about why they were calling. DO NOT GIVE these people your social security number. I’ve been receiving calls since January so I finally took the time to file a complaint with the FTC and then I called them and told them that I filed a complaint with the FTC. You know how fast it took him to take my phone number out of the system??? About 10 seconds. Here’s the link to the FTC website to file complaints on these type of companies. Remember, legitimate debt collection companies will send you something in the mail without you giving your information like your SSN over the phone. They supposedly already have your information so tell them to send it to you in the mail. If they don’t and they keep calling then file a complaint. Works like a charm because they know they are scamming people and don’t want to get caught.

Have a Great Day!

These are very basic and do not guarantee your success as a Nationally known singer. I’m here to tell you that it’s WORK. I’m working harder now than I ever did at a corporate job or other job so just remember, before you get started make sure this is what you want to do. You can waste a lot of money on a singing career if you are not serious and in it for the long haul. Of course, once you have done these steps there is a whole other slue of steps to get you to the next level then the next then the next. It never stops even when you get to the top, it never stops. Once you get there you have to figure out how to stay there and maintain your income or retire and make the best off of the money you made so far as a successful singer. It’s a long hard road and good luck to you. I wish you all the best. I’ll post future blogs on what to do next, stay tuned.

Lots of Love,

Decide upon your stage name. If your real name is not suiting for a stage name, have someone in the business help you come up with a good stage name.

Get a domain name that is your name.com. Or you can use YourNameMusic.com either one is affective.

Get your website Built or use Bandzoogle to help you start a good website. Start a Facebook an ReverbNation page as well.

Get Vocal Instruction from a professional instructor. All singers get vocal instruction, it has nothing to do with how good you are.

Go to a local studio and record some songs of you singing with karaoke tracks. This will help you find musicians for a band.

Hire band members with good personalities, that don’t drink or want the gigs to be all about having a party. They must be able to get along with the other band members and be serious about your ventures as a professional singer.

Find a place to rehearse your band. Rehearse, Rehearse, Rehearse! If you have to, do a couple of gigs for free just to get references to get paying gigs.

Create a handout or “one-sheet” to give to venues where you want to play. You may have to record or video your band playing the songs and have those recordings or videos on your website in order to get booked.

Treat your band members well. If you are serious about singing, make sure your band gets paid at every gig whether or not you make any money.

Interact with the crowd, talk and shake hands, thank them for coming and put something in everyone’s hand that comes to see you sing. Send them to your website and get them to join so you can stay in touch. Bands that sit in the band room or go outside to smoke and don’t interact and take time with the crowd never make it passed the bar scene.

I’m on the third day and have already lost a pound. I did read that protein is very important while on OxyElite so I’m going to intake more protein as part of my daily food intake. Now I have to say that I have only taken one pill per day for the last three days so if I had taken two, I may have lost more than a pound.

I’ll keep you updated on this so we’ll see how it goes with the progress.

Looking for something new to do this spring and summer? Here is my top ten list of things to do. I hope you find something on this list that interests you. Whatever you do this spring and summer have fun and please write back and tell me your stories.

1. Visit a Vineyard or take a wine tour

Vineyards are a great place to relax, meet friends and taste some great wine. Some even have live music so you can sit back and enjoy the day. Here are some of my favorite vineyards and wineries. You can even Google search “wine tours” and there are companies that organize the tour so all you have to do is sign up and pay your tour fee and then the entire day is planned for you. Sounds like fun to me.

Some of my favorites:

2. Yard Sale Hop

Yard sales can be so much fun and you never know what you might find. They can also be great for networking with others. The key is to plan your day and map your route so you hit as many as you can from 6am until around 11am. Yard sales are usually over by 11an but some will run late. The best items are usually found early so get an early start; grab a Bojangles’ biscuit (if you have a Bojangles’ in your area) and head on your way. Here’s a neat website I found to find and also list yard sales. Also, check your local newspaper; there are usually a lot of listings starting this time of year. Have fun!

http://www.yardsalesearch.com/

3. Plant flowers

Planting flowers is sometimes therapeutic or you may just really enjoy working with flowers. I know I do and wish I could do more of it. I found some really great videos on planting flowers. Now get out in the sunshine and have some fun making your yard great looking and your neighbors jealous.

4. Take your kids on a picnic

Most kids have never been on a picnic. Some of the best memories I have as a child is going to the Smoky Mountains with my parents and having a picnic on a picnic table along the side of the winding road. They’ll think it’s boring at first but trust me, they will remember it and talk about it for a long time and may even ask to go back with you. Kids enjoy their time with their parents, they’ll just never admit to it. Let them talk to you without interruptions, they’ll feel important.

5. Go somewhere you’ve never been

It doesn’t have to be an extravagant trip or even expensive. Most people have never been to a number of places within a hundred mile radius of their home. Do research on your area and see what you are missing. Sometimes you don’t have to go far to see something new.

If you want to travel, Google search your destination or visit some of these websites:

6. Teach an elderly person to use the internet.

Teaching someone to use a computer and the internet can be very rewarding. If you know an older person that just got a computer and the internet, take time to teach them what you know. Here are some helpful internet teaching articles listed below:

7. Find New Music – Order a CD by an Independent Artist

Support your local and independent Artists/Singers/Songwriters. Yes, I’m one and this is added to the list to help support artists just like me who are out there trying to make a living giving part of themselves to the public. Music is a much needed part of our lives. We work to it, drive to it, eat with it in the background, dance to it, take a shower to it and just have it around all the time. Songs help us remember parts of our life and bring back memories.

I could write a whole column on ‘Independent Artists’ and the ‘Music Industry’ but that will have to be a later post. The important thing to know is that local and Independent Artists need your support. They don’t have the radio to get their music out, they (we) need people talking about it, passing it to their friends, talking about it on social networks and sharing it with whoever will listen. Reverb Nation is a great place to find independent artists and new music that you’ve never heard. Make a point to find some close to you. Buy their CD and attend their shows – it’s a great way to meet new people and discover something new. I couldn’t list everyone, sorry, but here are a few of my favorite Independent Artists in the country world in no particular order:

http://www.courtneydickinson.com/

http://vickieraye.com/

http://www.cicijansen.com/

Find more new music at Reverb Nation: http://www.reverbnation.com

8. Get a new hair-do

Hairstyles constantly change and if you are like me, I really don’t care what the style is I care what my style is, but there is a time that you just need a change. Sometimes change can give us new ideas and even make our world seem a little brighter. It also brings attention to you which you may welcome. Checkout the new 2012 hairstyles and maybe there’s one that trips your trigger. I might even take a gander.

http://www.latest-hairstyles.com/trends/2012.html

9. Start a new hobby

Maybe it’s a new hobby that you need to make your day brighter. You can even involve your kids and make it a family project or hobby. Whatever the hobby, make it fun and lasting. You never know, it could turn into your next occupation.

http://www.discoverahobby.com/

http://www.findmeahobby.com/

10. Start a group or circle of people that like to do the same things and pre-plan 4-5 weekend outings or evenings out.

Sometimes people just want to socialize with other people that are similar to them but never can get together on schedules because everything is done last minute. Here’s an idea for those of you that like to plan things. Make a list of 4-6 people or couples that like to do the same things and plan 4-5 weekend outings or evenings to go and do these activities together. Have a small get-together at you house so everyone can have input on what the activities will be, let everyone get in on the creative process. Of course you’ll have to have a leader that gets all the facts, collects the money, makes the reservations, etc. If 4-5 outings are too much, cut back to what’s good for the group. Have Fun!!

Examples:

Couples who like to wine taste, golf, go ballroom dancing, hear live music, etc.

Single girls who like the beach, line dancing, pottery, art, live music, etc.

Older couples, who like to site-see, try new restaurants; go to church group outings, pot luck dinners, bingo, etc.

Single guys never have a problem getting together so enough said…

On Friday, February 10th 2006 I clicked my mouse and my entire life changed. I never thought that one click would change so much but it did. You see I grew up thinking I was supposed to sing for a living and the whole time was always doing something else. I joined the Marine Corps out of High School and became a Marine, then became a Marine Musician. I even sang while I was enlisted in the Corps but something inside me kept telling me I was supposed to do something bigger. That click was me joining an internet dating site and meeting my now husband who encouraged me to sing after hearing me while we were on a date at a ‘going away’ party for one of his work associates. My life is so different now, the changes really started a little over a year after we met when I started my first band.

You don’t think that one small thing can change your entire life, well think again. The accomplishments I have had and the blessings I have received over the last few years have been enormous. If not for that click, I would still be doing the same job, sitting at the same desk, working with mostly the same people (who I love too BTW). But, I would not be living the life that best suits me and my personality and dreams. Are you living the live that best suits you? If not, make some changes. The changes are hard, I mean real hard but if you are doing what makes you complete then no matter the hardship, you’ll make others happy around you because you will be happy. Just remember, no matter what your occupation in life (dream or not) you’ll always have some hardships, why not live through the hardships doing what makes you complete?

Wow, this year is getting off to a crazy start. It's all good and I'm so blessed to have you here with me. Announcement coming soon regarding a sponsor for 2012 which we are very excited about. There are lots of opportunities being pushed my way so far this year but ya'll please keep me in your prayers because I need strength to make the right decisions moving forward. Staying on Track with your New Year's Resolutions

1. Set realistic goals. Oftentimes, people set themselves up for failure by resolving to accomplish impossible tasks. Losing weight is a popular New Year’s resolution, but a goal of losing, say, 20 pounds in a month guarantees disappointment. Instead, outline realistic goals and how to get there.

2. Prepare, prepare, prepare. Whoever said that you had to go cold turkey? Take baby steps to reach your goals. Realize that achieving any goal takes planning and preparation. It also takes time.

3. Expect some setbacks. Change is tough. And you’re probably going to experience some setbacks as you are making modifications in your life. But the important thing is to not fall into the “all or nothing” trap. A step back doesn’t mean you’ll never go forward again. Many people find themselves in the trap of “all or nothing” thinking and give up. But instead of beating yourself up for “failing,” get back on that exercise regimen. You’ll feel much better for it.

4. Find someone to share the experience. Support makes all the difference. If you plan to stop smoking, find a buddy who will quit with you and begin planning strategies. A buddy will also serve to keep you on track toward your goals.

5. Don’t compare yourself with others. While finding a buddy to share your progress is helpful, don’t let someone else’s progress get you down. Comparing yourself to others is a very self-defeating behavior. Your only competition is yourself.

6. Don’t over scrutinize your progress. Evaluating your progress every day often ends in frustration. Don’t do it! Progress updates every week or every two weeks are better since enough time will have lapsed for even small changes to be evident. And resist the urge to compare yourself with others; it’s ultimately self-defeating.

7. Don’t be afraid to reward yourself. Don’t be afraid to give yourself a pat on the back when you make progress. Schedule rewards during the process. But be sure to plan rewards after you’ve taken a step toward reaching your goal. For instance, exercise first and go to the movie second, not vice versa.

8. Seek professional help. Many people try for years to change their bad habits, without success. There is no shame in asking the advice of a medical professional or other support staff. Just think of it as doing something a little different this year to help you reach your goals.

I have no complaints at all. I knew this road was going to be long and hard and don't get me wrong, it is but I have to say that I've been extremely blessed and I'm motivated more than ever and willing to work even harder if that's what it takes.

Where I'm headed exactly is up to fate but I know where I've been and the lessons I've learned especially in the last few years have been priceless. I've been lucky in that I've had some really good people over beside me telling me what to do and giving me some great advice but some don't have that so I'm very blessed in that manner.

Well, let's see, the highlight of the year had to be singing on stage with Charlie Daniels and his band in Las Vegas. I would have never in a million years dreamed that I would do that - I've always been a huge Charlie Daniels fan but didn't see that one coming right down to sitting on the side of the stage and watching Charlie tell his stage manager something then watching him walk over to me....it was all in slow motion and very cool to remember it happening.

My favorite movie of the year has to be "Burlesque" which I know is a 2010 film but I just saw it this past year for the first time. When I need some extra motivation, I just watch that movie and eat my favorite foods.

My favorite miracle of the year is that my keyboard player, Tim Sidden, is still with us here on earth after his near death experience on the operating table this past year. He is such a great mentor of mine and close friend too, I couldn't have handled losing him this year or any year for that matter.

My favorite magazine of the year has to be, of course, K*Chele Magazine, one because I was on the cover and two because I think you'll see that magazine do wonders in 2012 - did I say wonders? It could be rather revealing...so you might wanna stay in touch with her on Facebook.

My favorite song of the year is "Home Boy" simply because it rings true for someone I know who needs to get his heart right.

My favorite National Anthem of the year has to be the one I sang at Kansas Speedway. What an awesome sound system they have and for a singer, singing through a system like that creates a feeling that is not of this world.

Some of my 'First Times' this year were: being the co-host of a radio show (Nightride), singing the National Anthem at an Nascar ARCA Race (Kansas Speedway), Singing the National Anthem for over 46,500 people at one time (Kansas Speedway), performing in Las Vegas, being on stage with a country legend (Charlie Daniels), winning the Carolina Music Awards (Female Country Artist of the Year), being in a celebrity basketball game (Bowman Gray Celebrity Tournament), being on a Bojanlges trayliner (52 Locations throughout NC for four weeks), and performing at the hottest charity event of the year (July 30th Make-A-Wish over 100 degrees).

So many people to thank, the best husband in the world - Mike Jones, my awesome daughter who puts up with my crazy schedule - some call her "The Onion", Rocky the awesome driver and friend, Bojangles' Restaurants, Inc. and Hugh Quinn of the Advance, NC Store, John Nickels my awesome guitar player, Phil Martin, Tim Sidden, Jimmy Church, Rickie Church, Corky McClellan, Brian Stone, Todd Castevens, Sarah Anderson, Gene "The Breeze", Kim Durham, K*Chele Magazine, Bobby Plowman, Uncle Bob's Foods, LLC, LaVida Massage of Clemmons, Modern Toyota, Toyota Rent-a-Car, Island Tans of Winston-Salem, Avesta & Bobby Everhart who are at every show along with my child's other mother, Sanudra Eason and her husband Phil Eason who comes to every show with something smart a-- to say to me..lol jk, love ya Phil, Tom McCulloh Photography, Kristi Darr Photography, Thomas Lynch, The Bo Time Thursday morning crew, Cheryle Parrish, Joyce Welch, Clifton Lambreth, Jan Fowler, Rick Famrer, Brent Naylor, Evelyn Huffman, Jeff & Lisa Cranfill, Tim McIntosh, Bowers Entertainment, Deros Wallpaper of Clemmons, Make-A-Wish of the Triad and Western North Carolina, Don Timmons, Anna Howell, Ellen Richardson, Nate McGee, Michael Wells Jr, Danny McIntosh, Randy Stubbs, John Meadows, Gil Cunningham, Ben Harris, Bruce Watkins, Jeff Haste, Debbie & Bobby Locke, WKML Radio of Fayetteville, NC, Deano, Aunt Elouise, Cousin Andy, Derrick Davis, Doug Davis, Pat Reese, and I'm sure I've left someone out and I'm so sorry but I tried to remember everyone.
A few months back, I received a FB message from Bobby Plowman, owner of Uncle Bob’s Foods, LLC about him being interested in a sponsorship agreement with me. Bobby had heard my song "Tall Dark and Lonesome" on the Radio (WKML 95.7 Fayetteville, NC), that's what made him contact me. I took his email like most of the emails I get, with a grain of salt, and emailed him back and told him when I was available to meet him. One thing I've learned in the music business is to NEVER blow someone off, it doesn't matter who they are or if you think they are crazy or not. Come to find out that Bobby was serious and as things worked out and the deal was made, I am now partnered with Uncle Bob’s Foods, LLC under a sponsorship/co-marketing agreement….but aLOT happened to make that actually work out. For one, I personally can not promote ANYTHING that I don’t like so when Bobby and I met for the first time, he gave me some ‘grillin & dippin” sauce to take home and try. I then also handed it out to my friends, other sponsors, fans at the shows, family, etc. and told them to get back to me on if they liked it. I’ve never been a BBQ lover. I don’t know why, I’ve just never was in love with BBQ. In the past, I would eat BBQ and even cook it from time-to-time but never really liked it that much - I’d rather eat a hotdog than have a BBQ sandwich or plate.

When Bobby gave me the sauce, we had a few cases of it here at the house so I was able to cook with it on several different types of meat. From the very first taste I was hooked. I immediately threw out all the BBQ sauce in my fridge because now there is no other kind of sauce in my book. I became a huge fan of Uncle Bob’s and my family loves it too. Everyone that I’ve given the sauce to for testing, LOVE it. I now plan meals using Uncle Bob’s Grillin & Dippin’ Sauce and I’ve never planned meals around a specific product before. We use it on Chicken, Beef, Pork and Seafood. It’s great a tons of stuff. I’ll let you know when the recipes are posted to the website. All the locations are posted to the Uncle Bob’s Website to let you know where you can purchase Uncle Bob’s. Right now, it’s not available nationally but with a taste like this, it won’t be long. To see some comsumer reviews click here.
Have a great week!!
It breaks my heart to think that people can actually do these types of things. What’s wrong with people? Are they missing part of their brain – the part that tells you to protect the innocent? Sorry, but that should be a natural feeling and way of living. I was looking at some pictures on Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Radio Face book page and saw a picture of a little girl who is missing in Kansas City. That sparked my interest because I was just there little more than a month ago singing the anthem at the speedway so I looked her up. Her name is Lisa Irwin, little bitty girl – I’m talkin’ she just turned 10 months old when she went missing in October of this year. After reading some of the articles about the case I get a strange feeling that the family is not telling the police everything. It’s so sad but in a lot of these kinds of cases, the family or parents aren’t taking good care of the kids so the police start looking at the family for answers. As I was researching little Lisa, I ran across a little boy named Tyler Dasher who’s mother beat him to dead at the age of one year. She has confessed to the police that she became angry and beat her son because he wouldn’t stop crying. How sad that is that not only is her son dead by her own hand, she has to live with that for the rest of her life. I remember back when my baby was a baby and how I would watch her sleep. I would have stayed up all night if that meant her feeling safe and comfortable. I can’t imagine any parent being any different with their children. It breaks my heart to know different.

Love your children and have a great day!

I have to say that I always have things in the plans. The plan might change several times but eventually something will pop out of the bag. Someone told me recently that you need to have ten irons in the fire before something will get hot and I truly believe that. I’ve also learned that over the last three and a half years of being in the music industry to not ‘tell all’. Sometimes it’s hard not to burst out and tell everybody what you are working on but I’ve also learned to make sure you have your “T’s” crossed and your “I’s” dotted before you go running your mouth because nine out of ten times, you’ll have to retract what you said and give some sort of explanation as to why something didn’t happen. Fact is – “that’s the music business” and it always happens and it happens to everybody. It’s how you handle it that is what matters.

I also had someone give me some great ideas today and I think I’ll give some thought to them. That’s so cool because if you listen to other people talk, you can get some of the coolest ideas and they don’t even know that they are giving them to you. Stop listening to yourself talk and listen to others. Are you ever in a conversation with someone and you can tell that they aren’t hearing a word you are saying? That’s sort of rude on their behalf but that’s how a lot of people are and they don’t even know they are doing it. With in the last four or five days I’ve had people say things to me and I had this “OMG” moment right then – Why didn’t I think of that before?

The other thing is actually acting on your idea even if you think you don’t have the means to pull it off. “The way” will come if you just pursue it. Most folks don’t believe that because they grew up with their folks telling them that “that’s not possible” or “you better be made of money if you plan on doing that” or something to that nature. You may have had a parent or someone in your life growing up that told you those things. Well I’m here to tell you “That’s Bullshit!!” (Excuse the French) but it most certainly is a load of crap and - Did their folks tell them the same thing? My lord, why didn’t somebody tell them differently? Thank God somebody came along in my life about four years ago that informed me that “It doesn’t work that way”. Now I can actually do something with my life and talents without having this thing hanging over my head telling me that “I can’t”.<span style="font-size:14.0pt;

I hate early mornings but this one was so worth getting up at 3:30am. Friday, Oct 7th, Rocky picked me up at 5am so I could catch a flight to Kansas City from Charlotte. I slept the first leg into Chicago then caught a flight into Kansas City and got there around 11:30am. The car service picked me up at the airport and BTW, awesome car service if you are ever in Kansas City and need one, call my friend, Ben at Ben's Transportation Service at 816-507-2821. Not that expensive and fabulous car and service. Taxis tend to drive you around in circles to get more money so you’re better off getting a car service to pick you up and take you from place to place. Ok, back to the weekend….Ben was great and took me to the hotel. I was able to relax for a few hours, eat and get ready to go sing the Anthem. I was greeted at the speedway by Tom Venturini of Venturini Motorsports and the rest was absolute history. I sang the National Anthem for my largest crowd ever, 46,500 race fans. The anthem wasn’t televised (there was a 50/50 chance) but singing for that many people was absolutely awesome. It was ARCAs first night race and a very successful one at that. As I walked up on the stage to sing, I wasn’t nervous. Usually I am nervous at these type events but as the Pastor was giving the prayer, I felt my heart start to beat really hard as if it wanted to jump out of my chest. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself then I saw the “queue” from the lady at the foot of the stage telling me to sing. I don’t think I’ve ever sang the anthem with that much feeling and emotion before. The sound soared through the speedway stadium. I’ve never been more excited singing at an event than I was that very moment at the ending phrases of the anthem my heart was filled with honor and joy. I came down from the stage and was greeted by some awesome folks and some picture taking. I went back to the trailer briefly then back to pit road where I found Tom once again. He got me a seat on the pit box of the #55 car driven by Alex Bowman. I had never sat on a pit box before which was pretty exciting. I was able to listen in on the driver’s conversations with the crew chief which made it even more exciting. The 55 car wasn’t doing so hot but the crew chief’s strategy was about to pay off. Alex came in during a caution late in the race and they hooked him up with four tires which allowed him to drive to his second victory, which is a huge deal since he’s only had two races in the ARCA series and he also won his first race! What an accomplishment to have won both races as a starter. Plus I was sitting on the pit box of the winning car!! Very exciting for everyone! I’m grateful to the Venturini Family who treated me so awesome and gave me the opportunity to be apart of such a great event. I’m so sorry. I will try and do better, lol. It’s been a mind blowing week. I am pulled in a lot of different directions - it’s all very good stuff so I can’t complain AT ALL. I’m having the time of my life even though it’s a struggle sometimes. But think about it, life is usually filled with struggles anyway. Why not do what makes you happy and work through the struggles to get to where you want to be? Just say’ in. I wish I could tell you everything that’s happening right this minute but I can’t pour the beans until I have a pot to catch them. I can tell you that we have a press release coming out this week that’s pretty exciting regarding my corporate sponsor Bojangles’ Restaurants, Inc., that I can say. If you are connected to me on FB, you’ll see the link when it is posted and on the website. They are wonderful to work with and I can’t say enough good things about them as a company and a sponsor. Thanks also to the local store in Advance, NC and the manager, Hugh Quinn. He has been heaven sent and super supportive from the start. What an awesome person and I’m so proud to know and work with him on a regular basis. There are so many caring individuals who either work at or own businesses in this area. I’ve had to privilege to meet some of them. Like Vickie at Treasures Décor in Clemmons. She and her husband didn’t hesitate when they had a chance to support Make-A-Wish by sponsoring the MAW concert which helped raise almost 10K for Wish Kids in western North Carolina and Barry at Davie Jewelers in Clemmons, Kristina Lowery at Prime Builders in Advance, Kale at Interstate Service Center in Clemmons and the Associate Sponsor of the event, Modern Toyota of Winston-Salem and of course my corporate sponsor, Bojangles was there with their awesome sweet tea served up by non other than Hugh Quinn and his daughter who came to help– thank God because it was hotter than hotdogs on the 4th of July that day. I have done business with all of these folks and they not only run great businesses and have great products and services plus they care about the people around them. That makes me want to do more business with them time after time. This is what makes the world go round, people giving back to people and I’m all about that. So now, cross your fingers and hopefully you’ll be reading some pretty exciting stuff on this blog about Tammie Davis Music over the next few months and beyond. Buckle up!! Love you all and hope to see you soon. Oh yeah, you can pick up Free Comp tickets for the September 9th & 10th Rockingham ADRL Drag Race at the Advance, NC Bojangles Location, compliments of Todd and Denise Tutterow!! I can’t wait to write a book, I’m serious. I can’t wait to put all of this down on paper. I’m going to have so much fun remembering, if that’s possible, all of the things that has gotten me from point A to point B to Point C and so on. It’s been a crazy ride so far but I think I get some thrill out of it. In the beginning, when that crazy Mike Jones said the magic words to me and got me motivated about a singing career, people looked at both of us like we were crazy when we said we wanted to go “all the way”, now “all the way” doesn’t seem that far away anymore. We’ve still got a long road ahead but for what we’ve been through so far, I’m stupid ready for whatever is ahead. We’ve given up a lot, I mean given up ‘stuff'. For example, before the singing career we took four vacations a year, now we’re lucky if we get one and went two solid years without a vacation at all and that’s just an example. I could go on but then you wouldn’t order the book now would you? And not just a book about my story, a book about the music industry which I think would sell a million. The things we’ve learned – it’s crazy. You have to know what to do, what not to do, how to smell red flags a mile away, what to sign, what not to sign and basic rules on when to kick someone’s “behind” and when to shut-up and leave it along….lol just kidding about the backside kicking. But really, there are rules to the music industry just like any other industry. Learning the ropes is part of the business. Anyway, back to my original statement “crazy last couple days”. It’s so awesome when your hard work that you’ve been doing for so long with no or little pay actually starts to pay off. I can’t explain that feeling to you if you’ve never had it. It’s like winning the lottery but better because you paid for it with your late and sometimes sleepless nights, 2am discussions about what’s next and how to make it happen, hearing rumors about yourself that are made up stories, working two jobs and not being able to hold your head up during the day, and time away from your family all to experience the end result and celebrate in it with the people you love. It’s all going to be worth it and I wouldn’t trade any of what all I just mentioned for anything in the world. All you’ve got when you move on is your story and I want mine to be a good one.

Lots of love and have a great weekend.
Tammie
Tammie Davistag:tammiedavismusic.com,2005:Post/1088352011-08-12T20:05:00-04:002011-08-12T20:05:00-04:00How Come I Haven't Always Known This?
Why doesn't life come with a manual? I mean really, I'd like to be able to have known the things I know now when I was a teenager. It really should be electrontic so that you can just google up the answer, not a computer where everything else gets in your way and distracts you. This electrontic devise would only have the "right" answers in it and no crappy ones. I'm really beginning to understand life a lot more especially within the last three years. I've been fortunate enough to come accross some people who said a few things to me and pointed me in the direction of understanding 'why' things happen. You see, I believe everything happens for a reason. I didn't used to believe that, matter a fact I couldn't handle any 'bad' thing that came my way without acting as if I just came from an insane asylum. I now experience moments when things are going "wrong" or what I think is wrong and it's all there right in front of my face how "right" it really is. Sometimes you can't see the door for the smoke but if you stop and stay still for a minute the smoke clears and Wow, there's the freaking door. Happens everytime. About six months ago I went to the hospital to see a friend and pulled into the parking building. Just as I did, my truck started smoking like crazy. I didn't panic but immediately drove to the exit and got out of the building as fast as I could. I thought my truck was overheating so I stopped in the middle of the road and put it in park and turned off the ignition switch. People were looking and having to go around but I just sat there, calm and collected as I phoned my husband. He, of course, was at work and couldn't come to my rescue and the other person that usualy comes to my rescue was in the hospital so I just sat there for a few mintues letting the cars pass by and look at me. After a minute or so I thought if maybe I could make it to the gas station which was about 500 yards then I could figure out what to do there. So I cranked it up hoping it didn't blow up and drove as fast as I could to the BP Station next to Forsyth Medical Center. I no more that drove up to the pumps and two guys came out of nowhere and as if they already knew I was having trouble, they said "Pop the hood". Wow, where did they come from I thought, but didn't question anything and just popped the hood. They had just the right items in their truck to hook up my heater hose and I was able to get my truck over to the mechanic so it could get fixed. I'm still baffled as to how it all happened but think abouit it. If I had not been calm and stopped to think about the problem, I would have not been at that gas station at the same time as those two guys who are Heros by the way. I gave them CDs as a thank you cause I didn't have any cash on me to show my appreciation. They had no idea who I was so they didn't stop because they knew who I was, they stopped because they're just nice guys and didn't even ask for my phone number....lol. So the next time everything seems to be going wrong, just stop and think, pause, be calm and the answer will present itself. The problem is most people jump to decisions before the right one comes along. I've learned otherwise and am thankful to the people in my path that have given me that insight. Have a great weekend and hope you have magic in your life everyday. I should have gotten up at the crack of dawn but I'm a night owl....go figure. Had lunch with my Attorney, Michael Wells Jr today. We talked about his blog and how he's starting to get a lot more traffic lately, very awesome. He blogs about some pretty interesting legal matters so it's a great way to stay in touch with law and legal matters. Attorney Wells helps me with legal matters and gives advice on contract verbiage, something that I recommend to all up and coming artists and musicians out there. I've learned that you have to create the best possibility and opportunities with whatever contract you sign. You don't want to pass up a good opportunity but you also don't want to get stuck in something that will hurt you in the long-run. I'm not hell bent on signing a Record Label Deal, I AM hell bent on signing the RIGHT Record label Deal.

Got a call from my good friend, Avesta, today. Looks like I'll be back at ACE Speedway on Sept 5th - just waiting on the confirmation call. Thanks Avesta for thinking about me. I have such awesome supporters. All the people that repost my stuff on FB and tell their friends about me, I can't do this without them. Well, I guess its back to the drawing board for the rest of the day. Planning some new set lists and I'm looking forward to rehearsal with John tonight doing some new acoustic songs. Love you all and hope to see you at a show this week.
This week I have sponsor meetings, planning sessions, rehearsals, and two gigs. I'm also working on getting the newsletter out this week too, so needless to say I'm gonna need some off time around Saturday. It's also my mother's birthday this week, Happy Birthday Mama! My family still lives in Lincolnton and I try and go there as much as I can to see them. We'll probably head down this weekend to celebrate Mother's and my sister's birthday at the same time, I love dual purpose trips...lol Oh, stop by the blog later this week, I hope to have my new Short Ribs recipe posted. I recently discovered a BBQ sauce that is out of this world and will debut that sauce and the way I fix Short Ribs, which I had never fixed before a week ago. Anyway, you are gonna love them if you love beef ribs. Lots to do this week just to keep up and I'm fixing short ribs, go figure.... Hope to see you all at a show this week if you are in the local area. By-the-way, I'm coming to Kansas in October and hope to see some new faces there. We were able to book the National Anthem at the ARCA race at the Kansas Motor Speedway with the help of a new Nashville contact which we have not announced yet. So keep your pants on cause we're ready to roll.

I don't know what it is about driving but I've always loved it. It clears my mind and I can put things into perspective. I realized a lot over the last day or so. Things are more clear than ever and that's something that I can't say about the last three years. Chasing your dream to do what makes you happy is hard, no I mean HARD. A lot of the time all you run into are brick walls and I'm getting really good at pickin' my tools to bust them down but that just means that I'm learning as I go. Surround youself with people that believe in you and you'll be so shocked at what you can do. I'm not doing this all by myself, believe me I'm no superwoman. I've got a great circle of support and I thank God every single day because I know I'm on the right path to whatever awaits me. If you find yourself in a place that doesn't make you happy, take a look at what you did to get there and start doing the oppisite of that and see what happens. Most important, I try and laugh about something everyday and stay in good spirits no matter what happens. Expect more songs to come out of me cause I'm so excited about opportunities that are popping up and I'm ready to move forward in whatever direction presents itself. Have a great weekend and I hope to see you all very soon.

Hope you've had a great July. It's been really crazy for me. I'm still high from the excitement of winning the CM Award for Female Country Artist of the Year. What an honor and exciting time. I remember sitting in the audience thinking that this was my third nomination and what if I didn't win this year. I was so nervous and excited all at the same time and I had no idea because I wasn't asked to perfrom this year and usually they ask the winners to perfrom. That's probably too much of a tell-tell sign but Omar knew I knew that so I think he really wanted me to be surprised. It worked!

Even though I didn't perform a lot this month it's been really busy. Sometimes I wish all I had to do was write songs and show up at the gig but that's not the case for artists who are trying to get their name out and music heard. It's non-stop trying to get in front of people who don't know who you are so that they can get to know you and your music. A lot was accomplished this month and I feel really good about where I'm at right now and the opportunities that are being presented.

All I know is that all of you out there, my super fans and friends, are keeping me on track and grounded. It's not easy, and when I say that, I know that nobody's life is easy unless they get it handed to them on a silver platter and that's not the case with most folks so when I say it's not easy, I'm not just talking about my goals, dreams and life paths, I'm talking about anyone who goes for it. It can get crazy and people like to talk about you but you know what? I'm grounded in the belief that you can accomplish anything you want in life, even if some folks think you can't. I try to be encouraging to everybody who has a goal or dreams in life because I know what it's like, I'm there trying to reach mine. So, if you encourage others, they will also encourage you and you'll be surprised at what you can accomplish in a short period of time. Ok, I'm off my soap box, for now.

I love you all and thank you so much for all you help, love, support and just being here for me along my journey to my dream.

Stay Cool & Lots of Love,
Hello Fans & Friends,

June was a very interesting month with all the excitement of the Rapids Jam Music Festival where I had the privilege to perform along with great entertaining artists like Sugarland, Lady A, Darius Rucker, Jason Michael Carroll, Bucky Covington, Colt Ford and the legendary Willie Nelson along with so many other national and up & coming artists. It was a great experience and the attendance was fantastic.

Ok, now that all the "info" updating is done I can share some thoughts with you. This is one of my only outlets to all of you, my awesome supporters, so I have to make the best of it. First of all, Thank you! Thank you from every part of my inter-being. Your support, comments and emails mean so much to me - you have no idea. I'm entering into a very difficult part of my career. As Joe Dee Mesinna said in her famous song "I'm Alright" - I'm stuck in the middle. It's the time between the "starting to pursuing a singing career" and the "Full Time - I'm finally able to breath" levels. The decisions are tough sometimes and I always try to do and say the things I know in my heart that I should. My family is so supportive and I owe so much to them for all their love and support but I have to tell you that this is the hardest work I've ever done. If you think about me when you say your prayers at night, please include me. I need all the strength and help I can get. Your support means so much.

Lots of Love,
I was recovering from the Vegas trip when we received a phone call about doing the pre-concert party for the Zac Brown Band concert in Winston-Salem, NC. What an exciting evening. The party, which was held at the coliseum's Windsor Club, sold out and we had a great time entertaining the crowd getting them pumped up for the concert.

The CD is completed and out there...it took long enough but nothing ever worth doing is easy and I can assue you that it was work. Chasing your dreams is never easy and I encourage you to chase your dreams too. So go ahead, get your dreams out of the drawer, off the shelf, out from under the bed or wherever you have put them - dust them off and get busy. Time's a wastin'. Go for whatever you want to now so there's no regrets later.

I love you all and I love hearing your feedback so let me know what you think about the new album....and I really want to know which song you think is the best or your favorite. Take care and I hope to see you soon.

Lots of Love,
